About Me

I have been a licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner since 2021. I find enjoyment in helping and providing resources so that children, adolescents, and adults may reach their full potential and be able to manage the demands of daily life.

Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, I worked as a registered nurse for more than 11 years. I have experience working with resource limited populations and in crisis stabilization.

Education

-Received my Master's from the University of Virginia

-Post Masters, I completed a one-year child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at the University of California at San Diego, UCSD

-At UCSD worked at Rady Children's Hospital Mental Health Emergency Unit,

Rady Children's Behavioral Health Urgent Care, UCSD Eating Disorders Center, UCSD Outpatient Psychiatry Clinic, San Ysidro Health, and Innercare Health

Fun Facts

-Fluent in English, Persian, and Conversational Spanish

-Enjoy working out, cooking, traveling and painting in my spare time

-Currently learning how to speak, read and write in Japanese
